Danielle is a member of Oprah’s Super Soul 100. Over 5 million people a month visit DanielleLaPorte.com, which Forbes named one of the “Top 100 Websites for Women”. Her podcast, With Love, Danielle ranks in iTunes’ Top 10 for wellness. She is also the creator of the Heart Centered Membership + Leaders Program, and has a new book coming out in Fall 2022 called “How to be Loving”.

In today’s episode, Wellness Specialist Samson Odusanya shares how breathwork helped him reconnect to his true nature.

Breathwork found Samson 8 years ago when he was living a completely different life. He was an E.R. tech in the medical field by day, and DJ/bartender by night. Although he enjoyed his work, he felt disconnected from himself. Being the seeker he was, he went searching for answers to help him feel his aliveness as a human.  A mentor of his at the time suggested breathwork, and being the open-minded person that he is, he dove in headfirst. Up until that point, there was nothing he had experienced that took him as deep into himself as breathwork.

Now he facilitates breathwork experiences for others to help them reconnect to their true nature. He’s a world-class health and wellness coach that helps people find their breath, build their bodies, and free their minds.

In this episode, Samson Odusanya shares:

  • How he got out of “heady” personal development and into embodied transformation
  • How breathwork helped him feel his emotions as a man and lead with his heart
  • The different ways to express emotions in a healthy way (and why labeling the experience can sometimes disrupt healing)

Taylor shares her story of burning everything to the ground after realizing that she wasn’t happy (even though from the outside looking in, her life looked amazing). She quit her 9-5, divorced her then-husband, and enrolled herself into anger management and overeaters anonymous. From there, her healing path guided her to do the sacred work she now offers; she supports women to express their sacred rage, embody their chaotic feminine energy, and activate their sexual life force for more money, magnetism, and empowerment!

You came here for a mission and soul purpose, and your feelings are not too much. But if you’re anything like her, maybe you were never taught how to process anger, grief, guilt, and shame. Which is sooooo needed in order to feel whole, and shine our light even brighter in the world!

After listening to this episode, I have no doubt you’ll feel more inspired to BE all of who you truly are. Plus you’ll get all the juicy details of how she found her soul mission, what she had to overcome, and how you can get started too with a few simple practices!

In this episode, Taylor Simpson shares:

  • How to turn our shadows into our superpowers
  • How rage can be the biggest driver of transformation
  • And how to tap into our chaotic, yet brilliant feminine nature

Experience the expansive power of “Dynamic Breathwork” for yourself as Breathwork Specialist, Ben Holt, guides us through a gentle visualization practice that releases all tension and stress from the body, so that you can expand into a feeling of lightness and ease instantly.

In this episode, Ben and Sam talk about the importance of healing at your own pace and give you practical ways to integrate massive up-levels in consciousness that are often missing in breathwork and plant medicine circles.

In this episode, Ben Holt shares:

  • The importance of self-consent with breathwork
  • A practice to amplify your positive vision through breathwork

Maddy has mastered creativity in love, and how to create art out of your triggers. It begins by emptying out other people's stuff that is crowding and taking up space inside of you. Only when you are empty and hollow can you truly be full. It sounds counterintuitive, doesn’t it? Maddy has recently stepped powerfully into Ohso’s concept, in his book “Creativity”, that to be a truly creative person you must be like bamboo. Only when you are hollow can we receive and make beautiful things. It often takes stillness, boredom, and even scheduling time in your day to simply be.

Maddy attributes plant medicine as the catalyst for her growth. It has taught her so much about suffering and grace. It was also the medicine that forced her to stand in her power and say no to outsourcing to others, and giving away her power. It was the medicine that caused her to lose her footing so she could clearly hold her masculine. Sam and Maddy discuss when you should or should not look to plant medicine, and how to feel it is right for you.

Further into this episode, Maddy shares on:

  • How to tap into the infinite flow of creativity
  • Plant medicine & spiritual growth
  • How to strengthen your masculine & feminine energies

I loved interviewing Summer. She is a force in this space. She had so many interesting philosophies in how she explained what she does. We talked a lot about this place of neutrality with our bodies. Rather than body love as this place that we strive for, it’s about removing the body love or hate or anything and just not focusing on the body. I would really love to hear your thoughts on how you feel about this interview and let me know your stance. It might be something that makes you think, “Wow, that would be so helpful for me. I would love to hear more about that.” Of course we have the body positivity/body love movement, which is obviously telling us to love our bodies ( and there’s a large emphasis on that) I know for a lot of you, based on the feedback I’ve gotten, that feels really overwhelming because you’ve never known how to love your body so I think this interview is going to be really powerful for you.

About Summer Innanen

Summer Innanen is a  professionally trained coach specializing in body image, body positivity, self-worth and confidence and best-selling author of Body Image Remix. She’s the creator of You, On Fire – a 3 month online program that helps women break out of the diet culture cage so they can wear, say and do what they want. She’s also the host of Fearless Rebelle Radio, a podcast dedicated to anti-dieting, body positivity and feminism.

In this episode, Summer shares:

  • How to accept our bodies at any weight.
  • How elements of self doubt and criticism become rooted in our belief systems.
  • Getting to a place where weight change and the way our bodies look doesn’t affect our quality of life.
  • How to feel more comfortable and lighter in your body without focusing on weight.

This conversation was so good. We talked about meditation and mindfulness as a tool to heal disordered eating. So often when people struggle with disordered eating they try to externalize an internal issue. It is so internal. It is a mental and emotional issue. So when we dig into the energetics of the body, meditation being just one of those tools, we’re able to truly get in our bodies and heal from within. You guys have heard me saying multiple times, “You have to feel in order to heal.” This is what this episode is all about.

This episode is all about the small steps we can make to create big shifts in our lives. So often we think that in order for us to have these enriching, meaningful lives we have to go out and change the world or change the planet, and it’s simply just not true. We can create change in our everyday community just by focusing on things that matter the most in our hearts like lighting someone else’s heart up through a smile, conversation, a hug. That changes the world. And I think so often we just bypass that stuff and don’t pay attention to it. This episode is all about cultivating awareness around this. This could be simply using our voice to open up discussions around social injustice, creating a community garden, offering social services to propel a support group, truly anything. There are so many different avenues we can take when we learn to look at our pain as a teacher and a guide.

10:53- The first step we can take to create social change.

13:20- Using energetics to build a business.

This conversation energized me to the core. Adam is such a force. We talked about how to become a magnet and match for the things we truly want, how to ask for what we want from our partners, ourselves and the planet. We talked about forgiveness, the ‘Me Too’ movement, healing sexuality, healing the masculine/feminine dynamic. There was so much goodness in this episode.

Adam Roa

Adam Roa's spoken word poetry and deeply moving multi-media creations take the viewer on a transformational journey that leads to greater self-awareness and compassion.
