You've been given everything you could possibly wish for from your creator. You have to wake up every day and choose to reclaim your joy. It doesn't have to be extravagant. We're all born with this ability to extract joy from life and one of the access points to pleasure is the breath. That's why I am so passionate about breathwork... While so many people have been conditioned to live in the fight or flight, it's not good for the body or mind. You deserve to be in the rest and digest state where your body can stabilize the state of ease. In this episode, I’ll explain how and why breathwork is so powerful.

Inside this episode I jam on:

  • The two ways you can use breathwork: integrative and meditative
  • How breathwork activates the limbic system and can open up emotions and memories
  • The physical benefits of breathwork: decreased cortisol, decreased size of amygdala, activation of the vagus nerve
  • How breathwork can improve vagal tone which in turn, improves your response to stress
  • Why you should use breathwork to release suppressed emotions
  • How you can use breathwork to decrease human suffering and increase human consciousness
  • Why you are the drug that your body is looking for

Getting back to the basics of our health, mindset and body can create real happiness in our life. In this episode, I was joined by musician, meditation advocate and entrepreneur, Nick Broadhurst. Nick shared the tools and strategies that he uses to forge his own path to happiness. We discuss how people can truly seek out sustainable happiness in their life. He talks about optimizing your masculine and feminine energy, powerful life lessons he’s learned and how you can have a thriving relationship with someone who isn’t willing to do personal development work.

About Nick Broadhurst:

After the successful release of his debut album ‘Thank You’ with over 16 million streams, Nick returns with his long-awaited next single ‘Inner Love’. Like his music, there are many layers to Nick Broadhurst. He’s a singer. A songwriter. A former member of Sneaky Sound System. A meditation advocate, visual artist, entrepreneur, polymath, performer, father and husband. Uniting these varied accomplishments is the driving force behind all his work: the pure expression of creativity through music and sharing his most vulnerable moments in life.

Inside this episode, Nick shares:

  • How nature and connection makes Nick feel most alive
  • His transition from a musician to working in real estate
  • Three of the most powerful lessons he learned
  • How to have a thriving relationship with someone who isn’t willing to grow
  • The challenges of a conscious relationship duo
  • How to begin to optimize your natural masculine and feminine energy
  • Why people use creative distractions to avoid doing the work

Did you know that you have the ability to create your own luck? Yes, it’s true. That’s why I brought on Gay Hendricks for a second time to show you how you can take control over your own luck and discuss his new book, Conscious Luck. If you missed the first time he was on, be sure to go back and listen to episode 116! Gay is a personal development genius and has been a mentor of mine for over 10 years. In this episode, we talk about how you can cultivate luck in your life. He shares what luck means to him and how to experience the luck that’s already in existence in the world around us.

About Gay Hendricks:

Gay Hendricks has been a leader in the fields of relationship transformation and body-mind transformation for more than 45 years. He has written more than 40 books, including bestsellers such as Five Wishes, The Big Leap, Conscious Loving and Conscious Loving Ever After, (the last two co-authored with his co-author and mate for more than 35 years, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks). He is also a mystery novelist, with a series of five books featuring the Tibetan-Buddhist private detective, Tenzing Norbu, as well as a new mystery series featuring a Victorian-era London detective, Sir Errol Hyde. His latest book, The Joy of Genius, shows how to eliminate negative thinking and bring forth true creativity. Gay has appeared on more than 500 radio and television shows, including Oprah, CNN, CNBC, 48 HOURS and others.
