When dealing with chronic pain, most professionals tend to lead you in the direction of a medication as a quick fix to help ease what you’re going through. Today I am chatting with Jen Esquer, a top-40 physical therapy influencer who helps clients through online programs, private sports therapy and workshops. She shares how to use breathwork to manipulate how we respond to situations, changing our relationship with physical pain and how we deal with that in our body. We also talk about shifting your mindset and how to think of pain as an alert system rather than a problem that needs to be fixed.

About Jen Esquer:

Jen Esquer has been named one of the top 50 most influential healthcare professionals. With a Doctorate in physical therapy she is ranked as one of the Best Fitness Trainers on IG. She is the Founder of The Mobility Method, sits on the medical advisory board for Womenʼs Health and Strong Fitness magazine and is an online sensation with more than a 1/2 million followers and viral videos helping people eliminate pain.

Inside this episode, Jen shares:

  • How clients are impacted based on what professionals tell them
  • What inflammation does in our bodies
  • Using breath work to manipulate how we respond
  • Observing what your brain is trying to tell you
  • Thinking of pain as an alert system rather than a problem
