I am so excited to bring you this episode! I had the privilege to interview David Elliot in his beautiful home. He is one of the pioneers in the breathwork movement. As you know, breakwork excites me so much in conjunction with the food and body conversation. Breathwork is just a beautiful catalyst for us to go deeper with the food and body conversation. I loved this conversation with David about his breathwork, the spiritual and physical reason behind it. It was a beautiful conversation and I’m so excited to bring it into the world and share it with you!
About David Elliott
There are many blocks on the healing path. Each block has its own story; hearing into them is David Elliott’s gift.
Author, teacher and healer David Elliott has spent over two decades helping and inspiring clients from around the world to heal their deepest fears, blocks and negative beliefs. Though no client is the same, the formula he uses never varies.
David combines his intuitive gift of clairaudient hearing to help expedite the healing process for all who work with him, gently guiding and revealing deeply buried histories or beliefs with gentle compassion and grace. His process is effective in all areas of his work, from private sessions working one-on-one with clients to the group work he leads during healing retreats around the world.

I am recording this live from Bali and I really wanted to do this episode from here with a little bit less of the editing and a little bit more rawness. I feel raw. I feel really raw. I feel like I'm going through another unearthing in my life. Another unearthing of what does not belong which, always feels very scary you know? It's this whole idea of like, “I want to keep things as they are and I want a white-knuckle, and I want structure, and I want this, and I want that,” so that I can feel safe. I wanted to bring this message to this podcast today. This whole facade that our external world creates our internal safety.

Today on the show I have the amazing Meredith Rom. I loved connecting with her! You can just tell by her voice how grounded, soulful, and heart centered she is. I absolutely loved the way that she talked about beauty and uniqueness as it pertains to the self. I think that's often times something that we just miss the ball on so much as we don't acknowledge the beauty and the uniqueness of our individuality, our humanness, our souls, and our hearts. I often get my clients to look at nature and I say, “Look how beautiful that is!” and what we get to realize is beauty that exists externally also exists within ourselves. The only thing we have to ask ourselves is, “Are we willing to look at it? Are we willing to realize it?” Something else we talked about is what to do when your partner is not into personal development and growth but you are. We also talk about the art of asking for help, the art of receiving, really stepping into our Womanhood, really stepping into our femininity, and asking for what we need to help us navigate this human experience.
About Meredith Rom
Meredith Rom is a yoga teacher, author, coach and host of the Rising Women Leaders podcast. She helps women uncover and heal whatever is preventing them from claiming and embodying their unique brilliance to be a beacon of light for others to awaken in this world. After graduating from NYU she followed her intuition to Northern California where she now teaches yoga and mentors women to rise in courage, self-love and feminine leadership.

In this episode I’m jamming on questions I am asked all of the time. They’re questions like, “How can I be more discerning with my boundaries?, How can I create boundaries?, How can I say no?, How can I listen to the part of me that’s trying to speak to me?, How can I ask for what I need? How can I receive more abundance?” And I think this is important because as women, it’s difficult. We grow up and take on the role of a marauder. We handle everything and as a result, we become resentful.

I brought Tara on the show because I admire her so much for her ability to not wait for permission, not wait to jump through the red tape, and just simply own her power and the things that light her up without any connections, without any record deal. Part of what she does is she’s a musician, she’s a beautiful artist. Rather than waiting for a record deal to start creating music and filling her soul’s desire, she just went for it and I admire her so much. In this episode we talk about the ability to unlearn the things you thought you were so you can recreate yourself. And this is something I talk about often on the Hungry for Happiness podcast. The way she described it is so beautiful, given her background, her childhood. She’s one of those people where you’re like. “Wow, you have truly created a remarkable life.” And I wanted to bring her on the show to really inspire you to give yourself permission to say, “Hey! I can recreate the narrative and be who I want to be NOW. ”
